What is a digital wallet, and how can I get started with one?
A digital wallet is a system that securely stores payment information using tokenization. You can think of it as having a virtual version of your cards that are available at your fingertip through your smart phone apps. Bank of Dickson’s debit cards can be used in Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Apple Pay
- Download Apple Pay from the App Store.
- Add your personal and payment information (Debit Card), you may be prompted to call the bank for token activation.
- Secure your wallet. Make sure to use biometrics or choose a strong PIN that you can remember easily.
- When paying online look for the Apple Pay option. You will be prompted to confirm the payment by using your security method.

Google Pay
- Download Google Pay/Wallet from the Play Store.
- Add your personal and payment information (Debit Card), you may be prompted to call the bank for token activation.
- Secure your wallet. Make sure to use Biometrics or choose a strong PIN that you can remember easily.

Virtual cards are the digital form of your eligible physical debit card. When you add your physical card to a digital wallet, it is stored as a virtual card. It will have a unique virtual card number/token that is only associated with individual digital wallet mobile app.
Call the Bank of Dickson’s eBanking Department and we can manually deactivate the token that was attached to the device.
Erasing the information on your mobile device will have no effect on your physical cards. You can continue to use your cards as you normally would. Erasing your mobile device will delete the virtual cards from your device and they can no longer be used. You can add your debit card back into your chosen wallet at any time.
