Mobile Banking

Mobile banking can be accessed with our BoD Mobile App from Apple iTunes, Android Play Store, and Amazon Kindle App Store. As long as you have a secure and stable internet connection you can:  

•  View your transactions
•  Transfer funds
•  Pay bills
•  Activate Purchase Rewards

Debit Cards

 It is always a good practice to let us know when and where you plan to travel.  You can call us, or notify us via Card Controls in either the desktop or the Bank of Dickson mobile app. This gives us an opportunity to notify Visa of your travel plans.

Always know your debit card PIN.  It is especially important when you are traveling outside of the country. Outside the US, many transactions can only be processed by entering your PIN.

Make sure we have valid contact information on file. Providing us with your mobile number gives us the ability to contact you immediately via text, phone call or email if there are any questions regarding your debit card transactions. You can notify us by calling our Accounting Department at 615-446-3732.

Always make sure you take more than one form of payment.

Never keep your PIN number on or with your card. When possible, run debit card charges as a credit instead of PIN initiated transactions.

Remember that transactions can be processed as either a PIN or signature transaction. If you have trouble processing a transaction one way, try to process the payment the other way.  Most merchants default one way or the other, but most can process a payment by either method.

Choose where you use your card wisely. Unlike credit cards, debit card transactions can only be disputed if there is fraud. Businesses may not guarantee refunds if there is an issue with the product or service they may provide.

Be aware that using your debit card to make reservations could possibly tie up funds for up to 4 business days.

If you are accessing a foreign ATM (Non-Bank of Dickson), verify the machine is a Cirrus or Star ATM.  Keep in mind there are surcharges at any foreign ATM machines (Non-Bank of Dickson), however you may bring in a copy of your statement and we will be happy to reimburse the ATM fees.
